IS THERE A HOME OWNER'S ASSOCIATION?
No, the airport and the homes around it have nothing to do with each other. Simply living "on the runway" does not grant one permission to use the runway, and one need not live "on the runway" to use it.
DO YOU HAVE AVGAS?
No, we do not have fueling facilities at our airport. Most of us will fly to Everglades (X01) or Marco Island (MKY) for fuel. If your aircraft can utilize REC-90, it is available down the street at the local gas station.
CAN I LAND AT NIGHT?
No, we are a day, VFR-only field. Considerable thought has been put into outfitting the runway with lights, but due to our location in the middle of a neighborhood, we have consistently decided against it. The latest landing we allow is the end of Evening Civil Twilight.
DO YOU HAVE COURTESY CARS?
No, we do not, but there are several restaurants and boat-rental attractions within walking distance.
DO YOU HAVE ANY HANGARS FOR RENT?
All the hangars on the field are privately owned and part of the surrounding residents' homes. Summerland Key Airport is in the process of permitting and building hangars, though; so, check back as that process continues.
